SCREEN YORKSHIRE & 4iP PRESENT: INVESTMENT WORKSHOP - YOUR INSIDE TRACK

This
is your inside track to hear from the individuals on the front line of
providing private and commercial investment into the very best digital
content, services and products.
There are several unique
sources of finance open to companies in this region, and investors that
are interested and keen to support new products and services that
exploit new technologies.
One of these is Channel 4's 4iP fund,
which works alongside partnership funds from Screen Yorkshire. The two
teams have brought together a range of fund mangers to share their
experience of working with and supporting new, creative, products.
Workshop 1
Will
explore what it means to be investor ready and will look at the support
available to help companies access these funds and the range of
investment options available to companies with great ideas and ambition.
Workshop 2
Will
look explore ideas generation and focus on what makes a great idea, how
to test the market opportunity and how to use marketing to capture and
retain users/consumers.

Screen Yorkshire
Screen Yorkshire manages the new £15m Yorkshire Content Fund, launched in February 2012. Screen Yorkshire will invest in content within in TV, film, video games and the digital sectors in Yorkshire and Humber through the innovative new Yorkshire Content Fund. The largest fund of its kind in the UK, the Yorkshire Content Fund is managed by Screen Yorkshire and is funded with £7,500,000 of investment from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which will be matched by private investment on a project-by-project basis. Screen Yorkshire will invest in content creation by Yorkshire-based companies as well as being used to attract productions looking to locate within the region.
